The following verses are verses every citizen of the Netherlands should know by heart.
It's difficult to translate, 'cause it'll lose a lot of its beauty.
It is called "Het Wilhelmus" and it's the National Anthem.
The first letter of every verse put together makes the name of Willem van Nassou, the first king of Holland. The song is written in the MiddleAges by Hyronymous van Alphen. In content the first and last verse are related, as are the second and second last, the third and third last, etc, etc. The eight remains and is the heart of the song.
